I grew up back stage, the son of a prima ballerina and Hollywood movie star. Combine that with a father who was an honest to God rocket scientist and you get, well, a guy who likes to design extravagant sets and special effects. Then, drag your son into the magic and the fun just escalates.

In between my professional set designing in the 70's and my return to it twenty years later, I produced some amazing Halloween parties. Some of our sets included a full-scale conning tower from the Nautilus (20,000 leagues Under the Sea) crashing through the side of a sailing ship, complete with water effects. We've built pirate ships with working canons, and sharks that circle beneath a helpless maiden walking the plank, skeletons that dance in grave yards to the tune of live music and a full scale German ME109 WWII fighter plane we crashed in the jungle for an Indian Jones themed party.

You name it, we can build it. From candle stick telephones to pneumatically controlled alligators to archeological excavations that collapse around you to amazing snow covered streets of Dicken's era London.

All of this just because we love the magic of stage. Often times people will look at what we've accomplished and say, "You guys must be nuts!" They're right, we are N.U.T.S. - Neumanns' Unusual Technical Studios.

I am proud to add that my son has become quiet the professional sound, lights and set engineer. He has worked in numerous venues in Northern California, including Six Flags Marine World and the prestigious Napa Valley Opera House.
